Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Tsonga Luxury Apartments (“we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). If you contact us from the EU or UK, the GDPR applies to that processing as well.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into one of our forms, or send us directly.

• Enquiry form — name, phone number, email address, check-in and check-out dates, number of guests, preferred stay type, whether you need a transfer, and any notes you add.
• Contact form — name, email address, optional phone number, the reason for contact, and your message.
• Direct contact — whatever you include when you phone, email or message us on WhatsApp.

We do not use tracking cookies, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not collect payment details through this website.

Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and confirm availability.
• To arrange and manage a booking you ask us to make.
• To keep a record of the enquiry for our own accounting and dispute purposes.

We will not send you marketing without asking you first, and we never sell or rent your information to anyone.

Who else sees it

A small number of service providers process information on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:

• Our form provider — receives and relays form submissions to our mailbox.
• Our email provider — stores the resulting correspondence.
• Our website host — serves the site and keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.
• Google Maps — the embedded map on the contact page is loaded from Google. Opening that page means your browser contacts Google directly and Google may set its own cookies. We do not receive that data. The map is sandboxed and configured not to send Google the address of the page you are viewing. No other page embeds a map; the “Directions” links in the footer are ordinary links and contact Google only if you follow one.

Fonts are served from our own website rather than a third-party font CDN, specifically so that loading a page does not disclose your IP address to another company.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for 12 months, then deleted. Booking records are kept for five years, as South African tax and accounting rules require. TODO(owner): confirm these periods reflect your actual practice.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may:

• ask what personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct or delete it;
• object to how we are using it;
• complain to the Information Regulator.

Write to reception@tsongabush.co.za and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Information Regulator of South Africa atinforegulator.org.za.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us and to limit who can see it.

Changes

If this notice changes we will update the date at the top of the page.
